Brochinia reducta unpotted vase carnivorous bromeliad

A Carnivorous bromeliad from south america.

Very hardy and easy to grow I use the same mix and growing conditions as for nepenthes, (chunky coir husk and coarse perlite), although brochinia can tolerate brighter and drier conditions before bleaching of leaves occurs. I have found these to be very hardy, as with most bromeliads, tolerating waterlogged conditions and dry conditions very well, as long as the vase has water inside.

As with most bromeliads, fertiliser should be used sparingly, and low nitrogen types are best.

Vase will be sent bare rooted.
