Brochinia reducta unpotted vase carnivorous bromeliad

A Carnivorous bromeliad from south america.

Very hardy and easy to grow I use the same mix and growing conditions as for nepenthes, (chunky coir husk and coarse perlite), although brochinia can tolerate brighter and drier conditions before bleaching of leaves occurs.

As with most bromeliads, fertiliser should be used sparingly, and low nitrogen types are best.
